First off, let me be clear... iTunes Connect (as of this hour) is still borked in many ways. See my previous blog on this. But I managed, after many many hours, to convince it to accept an update to geoDefense Swarm.
The better news? I snuck in a few extra changes. Here is the changelog as it is submitted:
The bold ones are the changes I managed to sneak in at the last second.
I should point out that the change in the Thump Towers ability is subtle, but at times I find it can be important. This increases their utility, but doesn't radically change their over all power.
I want to eventually add a way to pause the game before the first level indefinitely so you can study it before your first move. But that was too much work for a last second thing. Increasing the initial delay was a one line change, so I did that for now.
It should be noted that although this is the 1.1 version of geoDefense Swarm, the internal version number you'll see on the application is 1.3. 10. This is due to a mistake I made in the original submission of Swarm there the version number was mistakenly 1.2.9. Apple's system requires the new version number be higher than the last, so I had to continue the mistake forward. I may set the next update to 1.4.x for both its internal representation and what you see on the loading screen, but most people won't know or care.
So, iTunes Connect is still very badly broken. I was able to get the update submitted, after many tries and retries. But uploading of the new icon simply does not work yet. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.
