Help needed for Medium Level 1 - Swarm-a-licious

I have no problem make it through easy levels, but I am having big problems with the first level on Medium. My strategy is using Thump tower, place them along the path and make the creeps turn at every corner so that each thump tower could do at lease 3 Hex damage.

I have no problem with first 15 waves however starting from 16 I am always overwelmed by creeps.

I haven't put a good usage for the vortex tower yet. I didn't play the first game so I have very limited knowlege of this tower. Maybe I should focus building up the strengh of the vortex as well?

Any help is appreciated!

My strat didn't use thumpers

My strat didn't use thumpers at all.  Lasers attached to vortex are really powerful, make use of that, and missiles are always a good idea.

I simply used a few blaster towers to cut off the options for the creeps, funnelling them down the left side (this only takes 6 blasters total), where I hit them with 3 lasers attached to the vortex, and later added a shock tower and missiles.

It's interesting that you can't attach a thumper to a vortex, I hadn't even tried before since so few levels have vortex towers in them.
