Geodefense is a splendid game, but I have one nagging problem.
When placing a tower quite frequently the game stops updating the position (i.e. it lags) quite badly while sliding the tower around.
This can get pretty irksome if you are trying to finely postion a tower, or you have to wait for a while to see if the zone circle will turn green.
Does anyone else see this, or is it just me?

This "lagging" is what I, and nsxdavid most probably, call "snapping into place". Often it is quite useful actually and when you get used to it and you know when you can and cannot place towers, it's mad handy.
Atleast that's my view on things.
It doesn't actually appear to be snapping into place though, since it appears non deterministic... so for example, I can attempt position a tower and it won't drop - I move my finger and after a second or two the centre of the circle jerks to that point (yes, really that long) the circle turns green - I then slide my finger back to the previous position and it *stays* green. A very odd and seemingly random behaviour.
I would like the centre of the circle to smoothly track where my finger is, rather than arbitrarily deciding when to move.
Yeah i got the same issue on my 2nd gen. touch.
The towers doesn't move smoothly sometimes while trying to place them. And yes it has nothing to do with where they can and cannot be placed, since it is totally at random.
Running geoDefence 1.4 on a 3gs (OS 3.1.2), and I'm seeing exactly the same issue. It really isn't a "snapping" problem - just as though the moving-the-crosshair engine freezes for 2 or 3 seconds (literally) - during which time, creeps and placed towers continue to operate as normal.
This is very frustrating, and can result in losing a level after a lot of hard work!... Placing laser towers in just the right place can be a nightmare!
... This issue aside - geoDefence is still one of my favourite iPhone games - thanks!
